Jack Mara, President of Mara&Co., joined the real estate profession quite by accident. Some years ago, he had the opportunity to work for a small brokerage and accepted the challenge only to discover that he was a "natural." He began working with clients, reading and studying everything he could about the field and by the end of the year, he had not only obtained his broker�s license, he had also been promoted to Executive Vice President of the company!

"With patience and skill, I was capable of understanding clients' needs and I developed a talent for matching them exactly with the right properties for them," he recalls.

Seeking to expand his experience, increase his knowledge and meet new challenges, Jack moved up to the next level, joining a large Manhattan residential real estate firm. At this company he learned the importance of being a team player in a corporate environment and perfected the art of closing difficult deals.

Despite the fact that he was doing quite well, Jack felt there was something missing. An entrepreneur by nature, he realized what it was: he needed to run his own real estate company. So, in 1998 he founded Mara&Co., and has been devoting his efforts ever since to implementing the best ideas and the most innovative approaches to marketing real estate both locally and globally.

Since it was founded, Mara&Co. has developed a reputation for tenacious and uncompromising client service that has brought it a large following of loyal clients many of whom return to Mara&Co. time and again for their real estate needs.
